Crank up the wayback machine

Ron St Pierre and Chuck Hinman doing fill-in duties for Brian Phillips on the Cat Country morning show this week. Both guys actually returning to their country roots in Providence radio. Very classy move.

Does Chuck Hinman still do traffic on the Cape?

Speaking of Cat Country mornings, I recently heard Tim Leary on a station in Savannah, GA. He was live, as he was doing a remote. I thought I had read on this board that he had moved from Cat Country to Cleveland?

Brian <insert surname here> does a great job there. He could cut loose more on a station like HJY but is probably better off where he is. I seriously doubt Ron has playing DJ as part of his long term plans but it's good that he's getting some airtime at more than one station on Oxford Street.

Thanks for the heads up Runrigger. Classy move indeed. Will definitely have to listen in the morning. Pretty cool having 2 WHIM alumni back on a Providence country station even for a little while.

Brian Mulhern, a.k.a. "Brian Phillips," "Brian Miller," and of course, "Brian the Pharmacist," was at 94HJY years ago doing weekends and fill-ins while he and his brother, Kevin, were writing for comedies and awards shows. He did cut loose a bit more then, often treating his listeners to a block of Eddie Money during the Block Party Weekends ("where Eddie Money rules!")

Jacko

I don't think he was a full-on sidekick like Rudy Cheeks was, but he often contributed to her show. He was definitely Paul Jaxon's sidekick on 103.7 WRX/FNX from about 1999-2001. He also voicetracked middays for a while on 100.3 WKKB in the few years it was a rock station.

Jacko

Good memory, Jacko. I think Brian was a full co-host to Paul Jaxon. When the plug was pulled on WRX in 2000, Jaxon and The Pharmacist became the morning hosts of all of the stations across the FNX network. Brian also went on to co-host mornings on Coast with Tad Lemire (now of Star 99.9 in Bridgeport).
