Thanks to David Faulkner for pointing me to this. Crash (Allen McGee/Harrison) was doing middays at KZPS until 2007 when they blew out most of the staff. He was working at 96X in Tyler at the time of his death. He was living in nearby Kilgore.

Remembrances are being posted on Cindy Scull's Facebook page.

I am stunned and saddened. Allen Harrison was a great person and a true friend. Please keep his children in your prayers.

Allen McGee's funeral will be Friday, December 30th at 10am at the Radar Funeral home in Kilgore. The visitation is Thursday at 6pm.

Not directly. He was VTing a shift for 106.9 The Rock at the time.
I talked to him on the phone a few times, but we never met.
It wasn't until you mentioned "Crash" that I made the connection.

For whatever reason, he didn't have any life insurance, so a fund has been set up at Citizen's Bank in Kilgore to help cover funeral expenses.
