Crash Poteet out at KSCS

From the front page: Chris Huff has been promoted from APD/MD to OM at Citadel’s country KSCS Dallas (96.3). He succeeds PD Crash Poteet, who exits the station. Huff has been with KSCS since 2002. His extensive previous country programming experience includes PD positions at WHSL Greensboro, N.C. and WUSY Chattanooga, Tenn., as well as MD gigs at KPLX Dallas and WIVK Knoxville, Tenn.

What does OM Stand for?

At one major company that shall remain nameless, it stands for Out Moded. At another, it is the abbreviation for Over Morons. In the old days of real radio, it stood for Operations Manager.

Congrats to Chris, who's also a fellow DFW radio historian. Didn't he start out at KBEC-Waxahachie?

You know your stuff Mike...yes, I believe that is right.

we don't need historians running music, we need people who believe in the music running music. Good luck Crash, not your fault.

Good luck Crash, don't take it personally...it's the times. These times people look for someone to blame, not really looking hard at what they give you to win...including freedom and resources to get the job done. Sad case for all radio.

Or perhaps all those billboards that read "THE BI 96.3"
