Crawford Media filed a change in primary station for both W237EK at 95.3 and W245CS at 96.9. W237EK will rebroadcast WXJC 850 while W245CS will air WYDE 1260.
I'm too far away from either translator to determine if the swap has taken place. I did check the TOH IDs on the online broadcasts for WXJC and WYDE this morning. There is no mention of the FM translators on either ID but that isn't neccessarily indicative either way the changes have taken place, given FM translators may legally ID via other means than verbally.
Any theories as to why this swap might have been done? Could WYDE and WXJC be preparing to swap formats and even call signs? If so, the WYDE call letters would once again be back on 850.
