Crazy Eddie on CNBC this week.

How about Jerry Carrol the DJ on 102 P-I-X in NY? Let's not forget about that. The guy who produced those spots works over at Cablevision now as a director.

Interesting! Does anybody remember the revival they attempted of sorts with the actor in the 1990s? I swear they did some ads with him again. (?)

The "actor" was Jerry Carrol, a radio DJ that had a stint in NY for years, most famous on WPIXFM 102 long before it was jazz. Yes, the Crazy Eddie brand resurfaced as a web outlet and you did again see s short run of Carol doing what he did best. The website is gone, now owned in name by an equity group.

Trivia: anyone know how the stock numbers in Crazy Eddie stores told you the lowest price they could sell an item at?

yes. It was a great bargaining tool. Offer a few bucks over the "cost" and you had a good deal. Its amazing how many people thought Dr. Jerry was actually Eddie.
BTW, is Eddie still in jail. Last I heard they found him in Israel and his whole family in Deal NJ was against him and looking for extradition to the US
