Crazy song question

Have any of you heard the squeaking base drum peddle in The Searchers, Needles and Pins? Is there a story behind that or did they forget to oil the peddle before recording the song?

I think when they decided to sing it "Needles and Pin-ZUH," they decided to leave the squeaky drum pedal in there, too. ;D

Just kidding, I don't really know. I believe there are a couple of others that have squeaky bass drum pedals in them, as well.

Like Cat Stevens squeaky guitar strumming on "Peace Train" Sonny Bono wrote "Needles and Pins" so next seance I attend I'll ask him why the drum is squeaky.
