Thought this would be fun to toss out and see what some of you listen to (or try to listen to) on a somewhat regular basis...weekday and/or weekend.

I have sattelite, so the amount of OTA radio I hear is minimal (just for local content/wx/traffic).

What about you?

Weekdays:

AM Drive, WTAM & WHLO (Quinn & Rose) [After almost 20 years listening, and growing up listening to him, I have given up on Lanigan. It's almost painful now.]
Afternoons, WNIR (HOWIE!!!); WERE (Jim Davis); WTAM (Rush)
PM Drive, WTAM on the 10s only (I switch in and out); WERE (Tall Ted); CDs

Weekends (when I'm in Cleveland--sometimes I'm in Pittsburgh):

Saturdays--CFCO, Chatham, Ont.; WKVX, Wooster (oldies); WBWC, Berea; or Billy Stewart (I recommend his greatest hits CD)
Sundays--WSTB, Streetsboro (Sunday Oldies Jukebox); WBWC, Berea

If I'm in Pittsburgh, my dial is firmly locked on 95.3 WJPA (oldies), unless I'm north of the city (then it's KDKA), or if there's sports on WJPA, then it's on Clarke Ingram's 620 WKHB (oldies) or 770 WKFB (also oldies).

Monday thru Friday AM Drive--Howard Stern on WNCX from start to finish..or if its ''Best Of'' week, WRQK for Bob and Tom

Middays and PM Drive..Rush on WHLO or Rome on 850..Triv on WTAM or Hannity on WHLO..or WMMS..

Nights..Watching TV...maybe Savage on WHLO if nothing is entertaining..

I'll be getting Sirus when Stern moves over..and XM next summer..and I can leave the wasteland that is commercial radio behind..

I Need Extra Space For This One

Mine looks like it's been compiled by a bunch of different people, but it's all me.

Morning Drive - The sounds of silence. Or whatever I hear in my sleep. :D If I do happen to be awake before 9, it's usually Wills and Coleman on WTAM, and occasionally I'll check in with Quinn and Rose on WHLO. Once in a long while, if I'm in the mood for really, really bad jokes, Stan Piatt and company on WNIR. But that happens roughly once every two months.

Middays - I bounce back and forth between Howie Chizek on WNIR, Glenn Beck on WHLO and Stephanie Miller on WARF. This basically depends on my mood. I also dip into all of the above stations for news updates, as well as WTAM's 11:30 show. Once every great while, a visit with WKNR's Greg Brinda. I wasn't there at all when Drennan was on.

Early afternoon - More Howie, an occasional hit of Rush (but not often). Howie gets more of my listening here than he does before noon. A stop or two by Jim Rome (WKNR), though if he's really heavy into What Pitcher Is Doing What, I'll flip back to Howie. More news update hits on WTAM if I'm not already there for Rush. I find it hard to listen to Rush, because he's changed little in 20 years, and I don't have to listen to hear what he's going to say.

PM drive - My most schizophrenic time slot, divided in small chunks among the following in no particular order: Sean Hannity (WHLO), Triv (WTAM, mostly for news/sports updates), Bob Golic (WNIR), and just to balance things out on the other side of the equation, Randi Rhodes (WJMP, but usually via satellite radio or streaming since 1520's signal stinks at home) and Ed Schultz (WARF). Oh, and once in a blue moon, Kenny Roda on WKNR. I can't, out of the above list, say any one host gets more time than others. Even more than in midday/late morning, it varies by the day.

Evenings - Nothing in talk radio really catches me, though I'll occasionally hit WHLO just to hear if Savage has flipped out on the air live. A very occasional visit with WNIR's Tom Erickson, though I have to really be in the mood for local talk for that one. Kevin Keane on 'TAM, if he's doing SportsLine on an Indians night off. Indians (WTAM) and/or Aeros (WARF), if they're playing, are just as likely for me in this slot as anything else.

Throw into the above an occasional music radio run, among: WKDD, WQAL, WAPS, WMJI and even WNWV (if I'm really, really stressed out), and occasional news-only hits not listed above for WTAM, WHLO and Akron's WAKR, and you'd need a computer to keep track of my listening...

Re: ...and I hardly need any space

WKSU.
That's it.
From a radio freak who was all over the dial for decades, keeping track of everything. Now I'm totally burned out on the wasteland of commercial broadcasting, so it's either 89.7 (NPR and music) or my CD collection (mostly jazz). Or the "dreaded" Q92 when my daughter plays it.

My entry.

Weekday mornings:
Lannigan and Malone WMJI 105.7 FM during newsbreaks, over to Wilde and Fee on Q104. Used to be Mark Patrick on FOX SPORTS WTOU AM 1350 until he left mornings and sports left WTOU.
Midday:
Springer on 1100 WTAM/Jim Rome on WKNR
LATE AFTERNOON:
Split between Mike Trivisonno on WTAM (most of the time) and a little bit of Kenny Roda on WKNR.
If both are boring, I'll put it on Fig on Q104.
Evenings:
Radio is off.

Here's my daily entry...

6AM - 9AM:
WEOL/930's Les Sekely (That's Lorain County for you!), and his predecessor, Bill King - who was let go last month.
Once in a while, I'll catch WMJI's Lanigan & Malone.
If everything else fails, it's ESPN's "Mike & Mike" on WKNR/850, since, well, there is NO decent spot on the dial for sports/talk in the morning. Until 9AM, that is.

9AM - 12PM:
Glenn Beck on WEOL. His being canned from WTAM simply made me appreciate his show even more. (I have not listened to Springer on that principle alone. Nor will I ever - Jerry should have gotten a C-Town clearence differently, and Methany KNOWS IT.)
WKNR's Greg Brinda is a decent alternative, especially when he's at his grumpiest ;)

12PM - 3PM:
Either Rush on WJR/760 (still at 10kHz & AM stereo), or Romey on WKNR.

3PM - 7PM:
Mitch Albom on WJR (and inexplicably on WEOL).
Sometimes, it's Kenny Roda. An occasional slice of either WHLO's Hannity or WARF's Ed Schutz.
WMJI's Don "Action" Jackson is dependable, but he's no Scott Howitt.
Have avoided Triv like THE PLAGUE the past few months: overdosing on commercials, a lack of objectivity, and the combo of Rado, Kim and Pat Butler will do that to you. (And you know what? I feel smarter already ;)

(An aside: I was a devotee to the old "Kiley and Booms" on 1350. Trivia: Chuck was canned by FSR on my birthday, December 9, 2002...)

7PM - 12AM:
Either Indians baseball (still at 10kHz on WEOL) or ESPN Radio on WKNR, if I'm really bored.
10PM-12PM bounces between either WKNR's "Tenth Inning" with Bob Karlovec or Neil Bender; or Jim Bohannon on WEOL.
Once in a while, I'll catch Lionel on WARF (or WCKY/1530).

12AM on (if I can't sleep):
Midnight Trucking Radio Network on WJR.
If I want a giggle, it's "Brother" R.G. Stair on WCKY/1530...
Maybe a hint of WKNR's "re-Rome," but I've ALWAYS hated how they handle it - but that's KNR for 'ya.

Music stations? I bouce about between WMJI, WMVX/106.5, WXTM/92.3, WMMS/100.7, WCPZ/102.7, and WDLW/1380... and was prone to catch an occasional sliver or two of the late, great WRMR/1420. Until last July, of course.

Re: Here's my daily entry...

Nate...I miss Kiley and Booms as well. I thought their show was hilarious. I also miss 1420 AM WRMR with Carl Reese, Jim Davis and the rest. I catch Jim Davis on AM 1300 weekdays and it's nice. Jim is one of the best on-air talents in the market.

Re: Here's my daily entry...

I dont do nearly as much listening to radio as I have in the past, but when I do: (47 yr. old Male)

9-12..(rarely up before 10AM because of working nights) Greg Brinda-WKNR or XM's Baseball Channel 175

12-3 Howie Chizek on WNIR or A little bit of Rush. Used to listen to Rome (KNR) but his style wears on you..

3-7 Roda/WKNR I have liked Golic/WNIR nut really havent listened to him as much as I should. (Usually am on my way to work by 2:30-3PM) Sometimes Triv if he has a good guest.

7-Midnight If not working, Tribe Baseball/Cavs Basketball..XM's Bill Mack (Country/Trucking DJ). Sportsline on WTAM, WSM 650 Nashville (Either on The Radio Or Online)

Midnight-Later..Various Shows on WGN, KDKA or WBZ Radio..In Bed I tune between XM Channels 164 (Old Time Radio) 151 Laugh USA (Clean Humor/Standup) , 163 Sonic Theater (Newer Radio Drama/Comedy) Mostly for Bob And Ray and 175 (Baseball talk and classic games)

When I am out and about I even listen on Shortwave to WTJC 9370 khz and WBOH 5920 Khz. These relay WOTJ-FM of Morehead City, North Carolina Which is operated by a Fundamental Baptist Church in that area, Only because there is nothing remotely like this station in Cleveland/Akron/Canton..

For local news I like WHBC Canton and sometimes listen to Gospel Music on WOFN 88.7 Beach City/Canton

The Death of Fox Sports Radio, WRMR

> Nate...I miss Kiley and Booms as well. I thought their show
> was hilarious.

Man, how far Fox Sports Radio has fallen since then. Chris Myers isn't awful or anything, but...as a whole, tne network basically sucks banana water now. (And now that WJMP/1520 is moving to it on July 5th, I can take THAT out of my radios.)

Don't get me started about the very, very, very, very, very bad Van Earl Wright, the most unlistenable sports talk host in America. To go from Tony Bruno to Van Earl is like, well, going from fine wine to watered down Thunderbird. (And that's coming from a non-drinker!) (By the way, I didn't include enough "very"s.) Keith and Jerry taking the network off of 1350 was pretty darn close to the radio version of a mercy killing.

BTW, I also did a stop or two listening-wise at WRMR/1420. Sometimes the music got a bit "old" for me, and for example, I'm not really a fan of whatever "nostalgia" format WAKR/1590 is running from ABC these days...but the classic jocks and their knowledge and breadth of music on 1420 were worth a listen.

24 Year Old Male (that's probably important if this were an actual diary right?)

I flip around the dial a lot just to see whats going on, but these are the stations that I will actually stick with for more than 30 seconds.

Morning - WONE or WBWC mostly, cause they play a lot of music in the morning. I'll check in with WMMS or WMVX to see if they are playing music, don't really care for Brian and Joe or Sean, Christy, and Hunter though, so when the talking starts I start hitting buttons. Once in a while I'll listen to Stern on WNCX for a bit or Rover on WXTM. Rover gets annoying for me though after about 5 minutes. Sometimes Stern has a really interesting guest on, so I'll stick with him for that.

Midday & PM Drive - WMMS, Maxwell has kinda grown on me, I hate to say it. Slats was always a favorite of mine on 'MMS, so I'll listen on WXTM too. WONE, WMVX, WNCX, and WBWC as well. I'll check in with WTAM for news at the top of the hour sometimes, and maybe stick around for Triv once in a while.

Evening/Nights - WMMS, WXTM, WBWC, WONE, WXTM, WNCX. WTAM for Indians and Cavs games.

22 yr. old male.

AMD: Stephanie Miller on 1350 with a switch to WHBC for top of the hour news. If I happen to be listening between 7 and 9 I may listen to the Ray Jeske show on WTIG, but I never stay long. Sometimes I'll put on WNPQ to listen to Tom Sullivan, but the radio invariably returns to 1350.

Middays: Thom Hartmann on 1350, but I will scan the music stations to see what's out there, especially when the local :50 break for Hartmann runs 10 minutes early. Usually a stop at WQAL, WMMS, or WHBC-FM along the line. I try to catch a segment or two of Jim Rome on WKNR as well.

Afternoons: WKSU

Evenings: If the Reds are on, I head to WTIG.

I'm fairly certain I'm the only one who actively listens to WTIG.
