Creative Loafing Chapter 11

That is a shame! They had been around since the 1970`s! They had more areas such as Greenville/Spartanburg S.C. editions back in the mid 1990`s. Will they still exist after this?
 
Talk about full circle. In the 90's - early 2000s, 99X was on top and Creative Loafing was where everyone turned to for concert news. C L was the cool opposite of the AJC. Then we used to camp out for concert tickets, and now I am camping out for gas.
I would like to say something profound, but I have to go sleep in line at Race Trac. Again.
 
Looks like Ben isn't as good of a newspaper person as his parents were. The Loaf has a partnership with Cox owning 25% of the parent company.
 
On a related note, I thought The Sunday Paper has seemed a little lighter lately. Does anyone know if they have reduced pages? If CL is in trouble, I can't believe TSP is doing much better.
 
We should have seen this coming. Look at last week's CL after Best Margaritas and Best Dry Cleaner is...Best Local Weekly Newspaper to Invest Capital in a Hurry: WINNER - Creative Loafing
 
I imagine CL will be around for years to come. They just haven't caught up to their DC and Chicago acquisitions. How many radio groups have you seen over the years file and come out in the end..
