Crime Watch Daily

The Tribune Broadcasting station group will launch Crime Watch Daily, a new one hour, daily program in fall 2015. The show, which will originate from Los Angeles, is produced by Telepictures Productions and distributed by Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution.

The Crime Watch Daily team of experienced reporters go across the United States to uncover local stories and turn them into national headlines. Its reporting is designed to give viewers the story behind the story — unique angles, in-depth interviews — following them to completion.

“Crime Watch Daily is a program that will be a strong compliment across a variety of dayparts and we believe it will work as a news adjacent program or in Tribune Broadcasting’s daytime,” said Sean Compton, President of Strategic Programming and Acquisitions, Tribune Media.

Crime Watch Daily will debut on the Tribune-owned stations in markets reaching 42% of the country including: New York (WPIX), Los Angeles (KTLA), Chicago (WGN), Philadelphia (WPHL), Dallas (KDAF), Washington, DC (WDCW), Houston (KIAH), Seattle (KCPQ/KZJO), Miami (WSFL), Denver (KWGN/KDVR), Cleveland (WJW), Sacramento (KTXL), St. Louis (KPLR/KTVI), Portland OR (KRCW), Indianapolis (WTTV/WXIN), San Diego (KSWB), Hartford (WCCT/WTIC), Kansas City (WDAF), Salt Lake City (KSTU), Milwaukee (WITI), Grand Rapids (WXMI), Oklahoma City (KAUT/KFOR), Harrisburg (WPMT), Norfolk (WTKR/WGNT), Greensboro (WGHP), New Orleans (WGNO/WNOL), Wilkes Barre (WNEP), Des Moines (WHO) and Ft. Smith (KFSM/KXNW).
