Say what you want about Dan Yorke, but he had your Afternoon drive down .What a slap in the face to take that away from Dan Yorke and give it to a person who could give 2 s--ts about your radio station. I just wonder what kind of a person is Barbara Haynes? Does she like to reward criminals with top salaries and stab in the back, those who were professional and loyal? From what I've heard, Mrs Haynes, more then once, needed help from Dan , during tuff situations and Dan was there. I wonder where Spanky (Cianci) would of been? So let me understand this, Crime and bad radio 'pays' at Wpro, is that it? Hacking into the speaker and one's cell phone constantly ringing is good talk radio? I never heard Dan character assassinate anyone.. Cianci does it almost every day. Sooner or later, Wpro is going to be sued for just that. Wpro, you gave a Bully, a convicted rackeeter a fine mans position. If you think it prevents Cianci from running for Mayor, think again. good luck Dan and thank you for your thoughtful radio.

Less than zero show prep, nasty personal agendas allowed to be carried out over the airwaves, cellphone calls on-air, constant mispronouncing of guests names, endless coughing into the mic, if it ain't Providence it ain't talked about...etc....etc....etc....gets one a six figure salary to start and then a promotion at WPRO.

Yorke must be hating life this weekend. His show is now sandwiched between two people that I don't think he likes very much. Stuck in the middle of the afternoon. He's also got to go into work now knowing that 10 years of hard work has paid off in the form of a "demotion". Who gets demoted in Radio? They usually just fire you. Maybe WPRO wants to humilate him first.
I can already hear people at WPRO bitching about how nobody on this board knows what they are talking about. Well this is your opportunity to set the record straight. You are already on the page. Click reply and speak your mind. If people have misinformation or are wrong about what is going on, than why would you not clear up any confusion?

Obviously they have no loyalty towards you. So speak up. Tell us the real deal. Unless of course... you are going to kowtow to management and let them push you around. I'll tell you this much Dan. I know I'm the last to say this but don't you think your being a litte rough here.I said it in a previous thred and I'll say it again. Something tells me this a temporary thing and one of those two will be leaving and its a quit way out.
Someone please save this. Because I think I have predicted something here.
I honestly think talk radio is one medium where people will listen to someone they don't like so they can fuel their dislike. When it comes to Buddy, most consistent talk listeners go either of 2 ways: either you love him or you love to hate him. In order to keep loving to hate him, you have to keep listening to him. I don't fall into either category but he has the best of both worlds. If he's pulling good numbers, the move was justified. As far as Dan, it's radio & you roll with the punches. He's still working while many are not. Again, I repeat, I neither love nor hate Buddy but radio stations don't exist to make value judgements on anyone's character. They exist to make money. If they don't, the result is WHJJ which everyone complains about.
Backstabbing, corruption and criminal conduct in radio are not limited to talk radio, as bad manners are not. Being rewarded for backstabbing, corruption and criminal conduct are also not limited to talk radio. There is one way up the road from me who uses the Internet to locate certain people's homes and describe their properties on the air by allusion, using the opportunity to also accuse others of her own conduct, trying to drag them in and down with her; others who are so much better than she, but by so doing tells on herself. She is rewarded regularly. It happens. You steer clear of such people and know something they do not know: They are small potatoes in the scheme of things, they stick out like a sore thumb among normal people, they are out of touch with reality, and eventually it will catch up to them no matter the present day appearance of things.

It's bring talked about a lot because it's not often somebody in a prime slot gets moved down the ladder instead of up. Especially a guy who has been at the station for 10 years. Even Yorke said he was shocked by it.
