cromwell getting real gm

john king now working for cromwell stations in tn, ky, il and ind. bob reich is out. king will put in place the stations first real gm, hopefully one that's not a crook. look for major changes.
 
Is he just window-dressing? Will he be able to change Cromwell's corporate mentality? And how effectively can Cromwell compete given its signal and image handicaps?
 
This is the same company that will spend six figures for an IBOC upgrade so the owner can brag and hob-knob at future NAB conventions. But at the same time claim they can't afford to replace worn out computer monitors. Remember, you're serving the community and helping people.
 
I've now seen the ads where they're looking for a new market manager. This could really be good news as long as they hire someone that won't just maintain status quo. We could definitely use some healthy competition in this town. Someone to clean house and put in a couple of great stations worth picking up in fringe areas (since some parts of greater Nashville are their fringe areas) just to be able to hear them.

By the way, is King a salaried employee of Cromwell now, or is he consulting?
