Crossroads La Grange

Chris McGill, Ron Wainscott and I have a little internet radio station going. We use the phrase "classic hits," but it's more of a hybrid of classic hits and classic rock. We're having some issues with the music drowning out the microphones when trying to talk over the intros and outros of songs and were looking for suggestions from any of you engineering types out there. We've made adjustments to the processing through the "Station Playlist Creator" program that we're using, which has helped to a degree. If anyone's familiar with this system and can offer any advice regarding any aspect of it, that would be greatly appreciated. Here's a link to the station. Feel free to make fun of us at your convenience :)

I have used SPL commercially for about 12 years. I was an RCS NexGen user prior to that. I've used it for over 20 stations. It is great.

Feel free to message me with questions. I know the software pretty well.

Good luck! I listened for a moment-the processing sounded good.

I know the word hit is in the title but do y'all do any deeper cuts. Like journey instead of don't stop believing play people in places or instead of won't get fooled again by the who play the who it's hard?

Let's bring on a blast from the past buck naked from the beginnings of 100.5 the fox. You could drudge up Ashley chism and buck could pretend he has a crush on her. It is classic lol

Good luck with the station guys

Yes, we play lots of "deep cuts" that you won't hear on the other stations. I'll let Craven elaborate on that since he's the music director.

Believe it or not, "Buck" is now the chief operating officer for a religious broadcasting company. He seems pretty happy there, so I don't think we'll be able to lure him back to Kentucky.

Yes, Patrick, we play deeper cuts. Regarding Journey, we play approximately 19 cuts from them and People and Places is one of those cuts. I also counted 30 songs from The Who in our library. Most of them are in the current rotation.
