Crow and West Ride Again!

I am pleased to announce that my old partner Mike West and I have been asked by Seattle's Most Successful Program Director, Carey Curelop, to do a Crow & West Reunion Morning show at KZOK Mon-Thurs this coming week. It was tricky as Mike had just been arrested for stealing a Sturgeon from the Pike Place Market, but good friend SGT. Al Bernstein of Seattle's finest called in a favor. Please join as and listen, as we do what we use to do best at that hour, drink.

Hope your back's feeling better, Gary...try not to overdo it this weekend...we'd hate to see the big reunion show pushed back another week!
 
I hope you're feeling better, Crowski. I hate to date myself (and you too), but my best friend and I in high school wanted to be Crow & West. ;D
 
I'm not convinced it was back trouble, I still think sunshine and a classic corvette played a role in your absence hehehe ;D

I will warm up the wet bar in anticipation of this reunion!!!

Okay this was the funniest thing I read all morning.... While cruising facebook....

Gary Crow Crow and West Four Days only coming to the Mighty KZOK! Monday thru Thursday, see them jump like a Monkey, scratch like a dog and show off Mike's amazing two headed Salmon! Radio doesn't get any worse than this, ah except for the BJ Shea experiment.

So great to hear these two guys together again. The first half hour was shaky -- seemed to take forever to get to a stopset and West's mic was initially too low in the mix -- but it's rolling smoothly now and the chemistry seems to be back. Been enjoying them all morning and the timing of Barbara Billingsley's death played right into the hands of reprising Leave It To Beaver 1980.

Well done!
 
Hey guys, we are trying to collect some of Crow and West's old bits for this week, and it seems that you guys have more of them saved than they do. We were able to hunt down a couple for this morning, but would love to have anything else that may be floating around.

YIKES that was fun organized chaos today! Seemed like no time had passed at all. We had FUN imagine that FUN on the radio what a wacky idea Corporate! Thanks to all of you for the texts,emails,twitters,face books and calls. You help make the 14 years spread between teams seamless! Couple more days to roll with a few surprises as we hook up with Robin and a mystery air personality. We also found some really old bits like House of Cheese, Spatula City and my favorite Leave It To Beaver, so we'll lay em down. Spike even stopped by to say hey, but of course his non compete is in effect. Again, thanks to all of you at Radio-Info for the kind words and support. Time for bed 4AM just around the corner. PLEASE bring back Steve Slaton? It's CRUEL to not let him be a part of this.....

Dear Bong, has radio NOT turned into a CRUEL BEAST? Sad but true, when you are a number on any spread sheet in any business easier from them to scratch that name and erase one salary. Be safe.

Point taken. I just thought an epiphany might have happened at CBS with KZOK with all the good stuff happening in the morning......Oh well....
 
CBS knows that they can get some ratings by doing this reunion show to help stop the bleeding of losing Bob Rivers. I don't think Crow and West will come back to do this full time at the pay scale they'd offer. "Music in the morning" will be the new show with very little talk (gotta keep that PPM happy!) and they'll be more profitable with lower ratings. That's all that matters. CBS will not take a risk with a new show and give it time to build, and they certainly won't pay what C&W are worth....unless they decide to grow a pair and take a chance.
 
@ Sandy. I'm wrong more than I'm right but I got $10 that says 'not so fast with that prediction'. Care to make it interesting?
