CRTC Rejects Rogers Bid to Reduce CanCon
Rogers had asked the CRTC to let it change the mandate for CITY-TV stations in Toronto and Vancouver to air 100 hours of Canadian films a year in prime time.
Citytv is currently the only Canadian broadcaster with this condition in its licence, but CAFDE wants all conventional broadcasters to have the same Canadian film content requirements.
