Crystal specs for STLs

With respect to machines like the Marti STL-8 and STL-10, what are the specifications/parameters required (other than frequency) when
ordering new crystals for these analog links?

I've not had to order crystals for 900 MHz links before, the units I've worked with have generally been frequency agile using
programmable, PLL based oscillators.

The crystal manufacturing company is asking me what specs I need the crystals cut to.

Out of curiousity... who are you getting the crystals from? I've always dealt with International Crystal and they know the crystal specs once I tell them what type and model of STL or RPU unit I need it for.

I called a local outfit to make some preliminary enquiries.

Do you have a contact name at International Crystal plus a website URL?

Generally they need to know frequency, expected temperature of operation, and oven or no oven for temp control.
They may also want to know about any parallel capacitances on the xtal input, often used for trimming.
Or they may want to know just what the "stray" circuit capacitance is.

The good news about ICM or Classic here in OKC is they already have all the specs for most two-ways and Marti stuff. They've been making crystals for them for years. If you still have your old crystal, look for the stamp on it. It will most likely either say ICM or Classic, both which are here in OKC. Classic is a former employee of ICM from back in the old days, so you might as well say he's been building them for decades... If you want to compare prices, etc. his number is (405)942-8095.

On the STL-10, there is a second crystal in the receiver that may need to be changed.

My memory is very vague, but has something to do with the IF, and which way you are offsetting from a center channel (E.g.--center 947.5, STL's on 947.475 and 947.625 for a stereo pair).
