CSI: Cancelled?

What loose ends? It's a crime procedural. One character left to start a new job. The rest kept on working. Not really much to wrap up.

Most likely to show where the characters ended up. I could see William L. Petersen returning foe the finale movie and, if it does well, more CSI movies being produced.

This series has had an incredible run, particularly considering it was a one hour drama that began at a time when the conventional wisdom said anything but reality shows were doomed on network TV.

‘CSI’ 2-Hour Finale Set With William Petersen, Ted Danson To Join ‘CSI: Cyber’

CBS this morning (5/13) confirmed that CSI: Crime Scene Investigation will end its 15-season run with a two-hour finale, featuring original stars William Petersen and Marg Helgenberger. The two-hour movie will air Sept. 27, the first Sunday of the season. Additionally, current CSI leading man Ted Danson will be transitioning to new spinoff CSI: Cyber starring opposite Patricia Arquette as a new regular.

CSI was great when it began but went off the tracks several season later when it got into the "CSI buried with ants" episode. Cast changes didn't help either.

"Buried with ants" - the new "jump the shark"?
