CT Network

If you tune in to C-SPAN or C-SPAN 2, you gets what going on in Washington in both the House and Senate. Well, in CT many cable systems carry the CT Network, which looks in on the goings on of government. Yesterday a new deal was announced that would expand or give 24/7 viewership of CT-N to all of the state's cable systems. I was dialing around on the old digital cable and found CT-N on Channel 116 (Cablevision iO). Here's the page on CT-N's website where you can find out where it is available:

By the way, CT-N is run by the CT Public Affairs Network. Their prsident is former news anchor Pat Sheehan. Sheehan once worked for WTNH, WFSB (I think) and was the first anchor of Fox 61's News At Ten.

Yes, he did indeed work for WFSB in the 1980s. I think he was with them first, went to WTNH-TV and then back to WFSB. He went over to WTIC-TV to kick off their 10 PM newscast in the spring of 1989. His co-anchor was Beth Carroll, who had worked in Springfield at WWLP-TV (NBC) channel 22. I think she eventually went back to Springfield, but for WGGB-TV (ABC) channel 40. Their weather guy was Roger Griswold (now at NBC in Portland, ME). Sports was anchored by Rich Cappola, the only one who has been with WTIC-TV's newscast the entire time.

To further set the record straight on Pat Sheehan... He worked for WTNH in the early 70's. In mid 74, when Post-Newsweek bought the former WTIC TV (channel 3), they hired Sheehan away from New Haven. He was fired a few years later from WFSB (some minor issue with breaking into a locked desk and circulating a confidential memo). He reappeared in New Haven, back on channel 8 and then, left channel 8 (claiming he was heading to law school) and appeared back in Hartford, but, not without a court fight over non compete clauses.
