Ahhhh Spring has finally sprung and once again it's time for Spring sweep ups. Who should be swept out of what stations? This includes clueless management, horrible, unlistenable morning shows, voicetracked robojocks, and liner readers that pose as personalities. Where shall we begin?????????????????????????????????????????????
 
104.1 FM broke away from Clear Channel, which is a wonderful start! Now if 96.5 FM can just dump Gary Craig once his contract expires...Damon Scott in the morning? Hmmm! Maybe.
 
Voicetrack on WTIC-FM? God, I hope not! Carrying the syndicated Billy Bush show in the evening is bad enough. The one question about Damon, should he go to mornings is how they'd fill the PM drive position. Gina J helps out with Damon now and is doing middays.

As for WKSS-FM, I almost never listen to them, so I can't comment on their people...unless you ask how Courtney still has a job there? I refuse to listen to that syndicated garbage that is Seacrest. NO THANK YOU! :(

104.1 FM was saved from Clear Channel. No if somebody could take over WKCI-FM 101.3 in Hamden/New Haven and turn them around?

CBS will never hire more local jocks for TIC-FM. So how does Courtney keep her job? Since Ross Brittain left that show it has been horrible to say the least. Seacrest and Bush are ridiculous. Same old idiotic interviews day in and day out.
Cheap Channel should cut KC loose and allow a good boradcasting company take them over and turn them back into a successful radio station. To late for ELI and AVZ.

That's because CBS Hartford is for sale.

I agree. Time for a fresh start. I actually liked it when it was Ross Brittain and Robin King doing mornings on KISS.

I agree. Both are no talent hacks. Seacrest should just disappear and Bush should go work for his uncle "W" in Texas.

I agree, but I don't think its too late for WELI. WAVZ yes, but WELI no. WAVZ hasn't shown up in the ratings since they dumped the Adult Standards format some 9-odd years ago. WELI needs a nice mix of local and syndicated hosts. Local news updates twice an hour from a newsroom at the station, and get rid of FOX News and Don "Quack Quack" Imus. And pick up the Yankees from WAVZ. WAVZ can be sold to Gois and they can simulcast WLAT on it. New Haven hasn't had a Spanish Station in 13 years when 1220 was sold to Quinnipiac.

I'll go one further and ask why a Clear Channel station still has a non-syndicated morning show with more than two hosts? In today's radio climate, that clearly is a rarity for CC.

KISS 108 in Boston too, Joe. Matty in the morning. There's Matty and Billy Costa and I think there's another voice on that sow (or there used to be). Now CC is feeding this show to 2 other stations.
 
don't know IF it means anything but Buckley had a "Future" openings as up a couple of months ago, it looked like mornings at DRC-FM, or it was an EEO scam.
 
For the most part, I can't listen to radio anymore, I always have my iPod in, EXCEPT when Damon Scott is on.

He's FANTASTIC!
