CTV's 'The Bridge' Picked-up by CBS

I haven't seen it, but the quality of tv shows produced here in Canada have REALLY improved over the past 20 years. I hear people talking about the shows they watch on tv, and most of the time they talk about Canadian shows. I didn't hear that when I left the country back in 92. Our shows are starting to get noticed south of the border and are building an audience there. The Americans who have seen Little Mosque On the Prairie or Corner Gas really like those shows. Cable offerings like Trailer Park Boys, and 6teen are hugely popular. I'd love to see more of our shows picked up south of the border.

Sadly, Global isn't having the same luck.
The Guard was moved to Showcase, but that may be one of the stations up for sale in the near future.
There's no word as to wether or not Global will keep the rights to the Guard or include it in the sale of Showcase.
