Cumulus.......2 Q revenues down 21 percent

Ok boys & girls. Cumulus revenues for 2Q down 21%. This is the company that required all it's employees to take unpaid furloughs. Say operating expenses down 26% from a year ago. Oh that's something to cheer about!!

How long til bankruptcy?

More cuts are coming. Here's a thought: How about consolidating York & Harrisburg operations?

Putting all the stations under one roof is a long term project. But here's what you can do to save money now.

One GM-----Nod goes to the guy in Harrisburg. Ron is a proven winner.

Director of Programming Operations-John O'Dea. Again a proven winner.

Consolidate the sales operations.

Probably can save some bucks by cross pollinating jocks...some in H-burg track a york shift.
Perhaps some in York track a H-burg shift.

Certainly not ideal. But probably reality.

Did I hear that Kenny Chesney recorded a song with Dave Matthews. If David Alan Coe had the PERFECT country/western song....Kenny and Dave would have the LONGEST...LOL! But seriously folks...Isn't Cumulus/Harrisburg under a different wing of the company. I think Cumulus/York and the other former Susquehanna properties are under a seperate arm. On paper they are two different companies. Anybody?

Consolidate and voice track the York stations all weekend long, just like they do with Hbg. Once you start voice track, you can't go back.

Sorry, but your idea of consolidation will only make York's people even more miserable. Seems like the only person at Cumulus Harrisburg that has any type of morale left is Dave Hendry.

dave "hollywood" is a legend in this market...works the phones..relates to his audience...all around great guy. i enjoy listening to his shift.

How about a little Less Kenny Chesney. He is far and away the most overplayed artist on country radio. His songs all sound the same.
