Question, who are the investors? Why are monopolies of radio stations allowed.

I ask as, I am suspicious, are the stations being bought up by those with an agenda? Like Limbaugh, Hannity, Beck et al,

Is or will the country just be inundated with their so called point of view?/

I think the only agenda is to make money, lots of money. You specifically mention Right Wing talk shows; the reality is, Left Wing talk, for some reason, isn't as successful or lucrative.
 
Yes, though those who like talk shows from the left could point to one Entercom property that does it--the 1520 in Buffalo, WWKB.

I think Entercom also ran prog talk on the 680 in Memphis (I believe they did when I visited that area in '05)

One would expect Entercom might have considered doing prog talk on WRKO Boston but they stay
conservative (though ratings are suffering lately). Boston has someone buying time on WWZN
(doesn't show in ratings, though poss. doesn't subscribe?) for progtalk--I would think most on the left would prob. listen to NPR's WBUR and WGBH instead though but of course they're not commercial.
 
Never cared for Howie Carr.

I prefer local talk programs, do not care for left or right programs.

Massachusetts does not have good talk programs.

Was not syndicated programming in North Carolina removed and local talk shows were presented?? This was in response to consumer demand.
