Cumulus Atlanta Under Quarantine

https://radioinsight.com/headlines/185196/cumulus-atlanta-under-quarantine/

Now Cumulus is dealing with a COVID-19 investigation

Cumulus Media has placed its Atlanta offices and studios under quarantine after an employee came in contact with a friend currently being tested for possible infection of COVID-19.

Multiple staffers have gone on social media to explain the situation as “Rock 100.5” Program Director Axel Lowe did in a Facebook Live explaining that he and midday host Lindsey will be doing their shows from home, however their morning show will be in best-of.

At Country “New Country 101.5” WKHX, midday host Corey Dylan mentioned that their morning show will be live tomorrow from the house of JJ Kincaid, while afternoon host Lucas Phelan will be live as well. Dylan notes that she is waiting on some equipment to broadcast remotely as well.

It's been 2 weeks quarantine it should be over now

An additional 4 weeks have been added. The medical system is nearing full capacity even now, and can't take any further increase in patients.

I was just wondering because Publix one of our local grocery chains had to shut one of the stores down for an employee having the Virus. They reopened it the next day after was sanitized and that's a public place. I thought their Studios were mostly secure and not open to the public. I personally think they are correct erroring on the safe side.

BTW:

Social Distancing is a joke down here. The parks and trails are full of people every Sunny Day. There are reports that people are coming over from Alabama and Tennessee because their parks are closed.

Unless the Governor issues Shelter in place orders then Social Distancing will remain to be seen as a joke in some parts of the country.
