Sorry Rhubarb, but I have been in radio long enough to know that NOTHING is a done deal. If Liberty thought they could get away with it, those guys would be gone in a New York second.

Sutton and Powell were signed to long-term contracts AFTER the Liberty deal, not before. Liberty took control at this time last year, and the new broadcasters were signed in February of this year, with Liberty's approval.
 
This is what happens when bloggers fail to fact check. The Braves employ Powell and Sutton. The Braves will decide if or when either of them is no longer welcome on the radio.
 
Glavine hasn't been picked up by another team,and everyone wanted to stone Frank Wren for letting Smoltz go,but the las time I checked his era with Boston was over 6.00. The Dickey Brothers have a stake in Liberty media so Sutton and Powell aren't going anywhere for awhile.
