They didn't need to do sports talk on 107.5? They were able to put all Gamecock sports on one strong signal, and give sports talk a FM presence in Columbia. I'd say they are doing quite well for themselves.

You can bet heads are going to roll in a big way. I was sickened the other night
to hear "a Cumulus station" in the liners on WLS! Yuk.

I half expected to hear them on B106 aleady.

WTMA had them basically from when they closed the deal last Friday.

Putting sports talk at 107.5 made sense. Unlike before when the Gamecocks sports were spread across two or three stations (WTCB for football, WISW for football and everything else, and WOMG for men's basketball and baseball), 107.5 allowed them to put games all on one station.

It sucked that we lost that huge signal that could be heard halfway to Rock Hill on 77 and down to Savannah, but Citadel needed the change.

I am suprised at how many people in our area don't even know 107.5 changed locations. A lot of them know it went from country music to sports but are unaware that it even changed locations. I had a fellow last week tell me that 107.5 has a good signal at his house but when he heads toward Charleston it fades out and that it never use to when it was country music. Needless to say for about the one millionth time I again explained to someone that the station had moved from Charleston area to Columbia area just like when I explain to someone that most stations are recorded and not live and I get a blank stare back.
