Cumulus cuts....anybody keeping a running tab?

Can't help but notice that Clear Channels' negative pub on Inauguration Day might've spurred Cumulus to be more quiet about their job cuts of the last week or so.

The cuts are being made public in trickling fashion; noticed? I only added up 42, but are there more in the weeds going un(der)reported?

So post the cuts you know of and add 'em up:

Ann Arbor, MI= 4
Cedar Rapids, IA= 1
Columbia, MO= 3
Connecticut= 4
Fayetteville, NC= 4
Flint, MI= 1
Macon, GA= 2
Mobile, AL= 1
Myrtle Beach, SC= 5
Nashville, TN= 1
Savannah, GA= 1
Toledo, OH= 11
Youngstown, OH= 4

TOTAL: 42 (by my count)

4 were cut in Sioux Falls, SD making a total of 46.

Cumulus runs 30 minutes of inventory every hour on their stations yet they don't have the money to save a couple jobs? ::)

There also have been cuts in Wilmington, North Carolina since late 2008, one of those is the person
posting this message, however i did pick up some part-time hours for now.

Does it really matter anymore? All radio companies will be cutting someone or something eventually. Why depress yourself keeping count. Be positive and focus on good things. This WILL lead to something better. Maybe not more money but if you take it in the right frame of mind, you can come out on top.

I was fired several years ago and I was making very good money and running a station and was let go for a very trivial reason. I starved for a while, lost everything I had (house, cars, furniture, 401K, everything) but I never lost the desire to survive and recover. I now have a new job (still in the business). I don't make nearly what I used to but I've learned to survive and actually like my life and who I am better now that I used to. I decided to look on the bright side and make lemonade from lemons. So I don't drive an Escalade anymore. Heck, the darn things are one of the top stolen vehicles so that worry (and heavy insurance payment) is off my mind.

Life can be better if your attitude is.
