Cumulus cuts in Toledo and Youngstown

Toledo:

Ron Sobzak - WRQN PM drive
Kelly Carter - WRQN, Traffic
Tod Crabtree - APD/Producer, WLQR/WTOD
Jason Griffin - WLQR part-time
Tom Watkins - WTOD AM Host, own accord

Toledo cuts come after 11 were downsized this past November.

Youngstown:

Dave Steele - PD K105
Christian Aleshire - PD Rock 104 and ESPN 1240
Kelyn - middays WHOT
Bill Cannon - afternoons Y103

Actually, from what I heard, Sobczak was spared. Him and Bob Kelly are some of the last of the old-school talents that have remained in Toledo radio their entire careers and are still doing it -- which nowadays is an accomplishment!

I had the pleasure of working under Ron when he was PD-ing on the AM side long, long time ago. Also had the pleasure of working around Bob Kelly in the AM days as well. They are two great guys that I hope get to decide themselves when to leave.

For those familiar with Uncle Ricky's Reelradio website, I am hoping to dig up & donate some of their old airchecks from their AM days to the site for everyone's listening pleasure sometime this year (2009).

Yes, Sobzak got an 11th hour reprieve as Finn allegedly went over the Market Manager's head to the VP in Atlanta.

Finn is a class act!

WXKR is now being voicetracked by Andi McKay, and she flips to STAR 105.5 for PM drive live.

Part-timer Tim McMahon is now out as of this past Tuesday.
