Cumulus FWB Continues to shoot own foot...

Bad week last week for Cumulus FWB jocks. 4 shown the door...yet everyone in sales and sales Mgrs. spared. The Dickeys are the biggest joke in the industry...but then I am biased...

rob....re Tesh.....that is the first intelligent thing you have posted in a long time...................tibbs I can finally agree with rob on something!! The end is near.....

I meant to post this along with my praise for rob, but still stunned, I forgot.

How can Crumy lay off four air personcasulties when they only had three to start with?

----------

Seriously, it doesn't have to be this way. I know the economy is rough, but
how much more can they gut the lives out of these stations. What's a spot
running fur at them there stations now? Less than Citadel's stock price?

It does with Cumulus. It's the compliance rather than accomplishment atmosphere they have built. One side of the house is underperforming to unpercedented levels and not one person has lost their job...nor any of their managers. The side of the house with all the success keeps getting wacked.

There are 2 and a half live jocks on ZNS, one and a half on Coast 93.3, 3 on 105.5, 4 on wksm and one and a half on wftw.

We need more Programmers learning the business side of the house and sitting in the big chair. Until then the sales side of the house will continue to protect their own and continue sucking the life out of the industry. With that said...we are close to rock bottom...and real broadcasters are waiting in the wings....

That's too bad. John Tesh won't be fired though. :)

Please, someone send John Tesh to somewhere else doing radio in some third world country where the American people are not subject to his "feel good, get in touch with your feelings" style radio program approach. I'm tired of every radio station in the country programming towards the 25 -54 "feel good about yourself" female. Even news-talk is starting to lean towards a female demographic. Take the Satellite Sisters, PLEASE. B-O-R-I-N-G!!! I'd like to hear at least ONE radio station that is targeted towards men. Even the rock stations start to wimp out after a few months. That's just my observation.
