Active rock takes over on 93.9, sending the redundant "Energy" brand to the pile of recent former formats on the signal.
Listened for a bit after the noon launch on 24 May and checked the website for their playlist. Nothing out of the ordinary, as it's the first day.
A couple of notes: I've only heard one song that I have in A, B or C rotation (FFDP - "Blue on Black") while 12, on my recurrent list, have aired.
(To be fair, I just dropped Motley Crue's "The Dirt" from "A" to recurrent this week while Cage The Elephant's "Ready to Let Go" dropped from "B" to recurrent two weeks ago.
I'll, also, be very excited to hear their rotation after the commercial-free weekend launch.
As I told a friend in the Cumulus cluster tonight, "It's about friggin' time!!"
