Cumulus will not touch BLX, period. Unless they really want that building burned to the ground because half the city would be fuming.

WHHY was destroyed long before Cumulus took it over. Anyone remember WJCC "Cat Country?" It was a CHR in the early 90's when no one wanted to be a CHR and went country. Cumulus did little more than put the WHHY calls back on 101.9 and launch a brand new station to take it out of competition with their WLWI. No, it's not as a good as the original one was, but it's not a continuation of the original either.
Yup..Mcdonald broadcasting took over and flipped it to WJCC Cat Country 102, even repainted the coke boom box and had a racecar that ran at Montogmery Motorspeedway and down at five flags in mobile.
when Cumulus brought the Heritage calls back, they tried to keep it as the station was "pre-cat country" but the nail in the coffin was trying to go up against Urban WZHT by changing to a chr/urban format and calling themselves "The Beat of Montgomery"...more like the laughing stock of central alabama ha ha!
