Cumulus Mixing things up????

Well,

As I usually check up on things at my old stations that I used to work at, I noticed that the changes are up:

Hot 100- WSEA-FM is now going to be known as POWER 100.3 (Format Unknown)

K-Country 103.1-WYAK is now moving to 106.5 FM and becomes COYOTE Country.

Sunny 106.5 Moves to 103.1 and Becomes Sunny 103.1 and will maintain its Greatest Hits format.

---------------

I have long known that Hot 100 has been trying to get out of the 2.0 shares for a long time, maybe the change is good. As far as 103.1 moving up to 106.5 I believe this was to grab the Georgetown Market.

God I miss Radio down there.. :(

Other than that.. Gas is High, Heat is Up.. Milk is 4.99 a gallon. :-S
Take care,
~Stitch~

WSEA-FM is now POWER 100.3 "Hits and Hip-Hop" since KISS 98.5/WDAI is exclusively Urban AC competing with the new Q107.1. POWER's format is Rhythmic and mornings are syndicated with The Rickey Smiley Morning Show. Word has it they were no where to be found in the streets during Bike Week Memorial Day weekend. I heard Cumulus' COAST 97.3 out of Wilmington was running things on the Grand Strand.

--shakes his head--

Wonder how long this will last? (Power)

They tried with Classic Rock (Pirate 100), the Hot AC (Hot 100), now Rhythmic Urban?

Coast 97.3 has always had a great signal in North and Central Myrtle Beach. and Kiss 98.5 has a great signal on the South Strand and Georgetown. So either way, both Sister stations show pretty much control all over the strand. I wonder how Q 107.1 is doing ????

I think Power 100.3 will be around awhile. Most stations that flip to hip hop do well when their isn't one in the market and Myrtle Beach needed one and 98.5 KISS-FM just wasn't doing that. As 98.5 was in between Urban and Urban AC. And yeah Coast has a great signal i can get them all the way in Pawleys clear.
