Cumulus Montgomery

Personally I would rather listen to any Bluewater station over the other Gump players and/or Dr. Kook from Camden any day of the week.

At least Bluewater knows how to keep things going and in operation.

Can't say that about Dr. Kook.

What a mess he has.

Hope he's soon forced to clean things up and/or leave the air for good.

Leaving the air would be the best thing WYVC could ever do.

Hate to see Camden's only FM commercial based station go but if Dr. Kook can't do any better then good riddance.

P.S. Long live Bluewater and their awesome presentation.  I still love it very much.  Say what you will but I'll continue to stick up for them.  They are still influencing me, as I try to make my own return to the radio business.  Hope 2012 will be my year to do it.

B.T.W. The other stations in Montgomery, outside of Faith Radio, WAY FM and/or The River tend to bore me anyway.  I'm not impressed with the Cumulus, Clear Channel and/or other local station(s) anyway.  Their presentation doesn't excite me.

Yes Buster you are correct. We are extremely "onion skinned" when it comes to some "outsider" with no skin in the broadcast game disparaging the finest group of radio professionals in the region. Over the last seven years Bluewater has attracted the brightest and the best in the market. Terry Barber, John Garrett, Susan Woody, Greg Budell, Bubba, Dr.Sam, and a host of dedicated off air professionals put it on the line everyday. So, Buster, when you stand on the sidelines and poke in a snarky fashion for no apparent reason, and position yourself as some expert in the business, you're going to hear about it every single time. Your ignorant opinion notwithstanding, these people deserve your respect.

Name calling isn't very becoming of you, R.D.P., especially when you call yourself a person of faith. WYVC is pretty bad, but even I know you're a little better than the 'Dr. Kook' cracks.

Sorry about that.

All I want to see is some professionalism come to that radio station.

Hope someone will soon bring it.

If Dr. Craig isn't the man, then I hope you Mr. Nate or someone else reading will be it.

P.S. Still wishing everyone reading a happy new year.

Mr. Gower..there you go again. I have never disrespected your air talent. But in August, you made a public posting about firing the PD/Operations manager at WBAM. And you also lowered Bubba's pay by over $11,000 a year. big pay cut. You sure get bent out of shape over a 15 minute "serious on air problem" at WBAM where apparently no one could cut if off the air for 15 minin afternoon drive. We will be listening to yor stations to see how they do in 2012. I don't claim to be an expert, but you sure do. Time will tell in 2012. Heck, radio is only a business.

Buster, I don't "claim" to be anything other than to know more than you do. Period. You are the Cliff Clavin of these boards. Post your resume and prove me wrong. I work in this business every day - and for the last 40 years. That gives me one up over the likes of you. Guys who sit on the sidelines and snipe don't deserve the time it takes to respond. Once again, if you think you can do better than us get off your ass and try. I'll tell you where you can pick up your own stations and impress us all. If not - well you get my drift.

jharmon- was the "recent firing" the MM in Savannah last January (2011)? Seemed to be something odd with that dual firing besides the usual hatchet job.

Sorry to jump in here in a trollish manner but I just wanted to say thank you folks for bringing some entertainment value back to the boards. Cap city may get to the level (lower, that is) that Dthn achieved a couple of months ago. Please continue.

Every time Dothan is mentioned on the board, it always results in pages of interesting commentary and debating. :D
