November is the month for firming up the following year's budget. Keeping those folks on the payroll through the holidays would send the bean counters into a state of apoplexy and the investors into sell-off mode. 'Murica.
 
Weren't those stations already mostly tracked out of Providence or on syndication? Seems like somebody mentioned either earlier this year or sometime mid-to-late last year that Cumulus moved those stations into the Providence studio.
