Cumulus picks up 3rd translator

Radio Info is reporting that Cumulus just bought a Tallapossa licensed translator. Right now its non commercial but has applications to move to 99.5 and cover Marietta. In the purchase agreement Cumulus is going to file another application for the station to move to 99.1 with 99 watts from the same tower 97.9 uses. Cumulus recently bought Sandy Plains licensed 93.7 that already has a CP for 250 watts from the same tower that 97.9 uses. So two new stations are coming to FM.

PLEASE don't let them have 99.1
That's the best clear frequency I can plug my MP3 into the radio on. Plus, I get
enough interference from some country station in Macon when on 285 southside.

But, I doubt 99 watts will reach very far anyway.

Can anybody do anything with 99 W, even at Richland heights?

99X...from 99kW to 99W.

Because of Macon I doubt that the translator would even be viable on the southside.

...and don't forget WFBC B93.7 in Greenville, SC. Z93.7 in Macon and B93.7 in Greenville always duke it out on a heavy DX morning in Gwinnett. I almost always receive one or the other, so I even doubt that the new translator will break through all of the interference of these two.
