Cumulus' Three Atlanta Translators

I noticed on the FCC website today that all three translators are now licensed to the city of Atlanta.

W229AG 93.7 was Sandy Plains (WCNN 680 the Fan)
W250BC 97.9 was Riverdale (WWWQ HD-3 Journey 97.9)
W256BO 99.1 was Tallapoosa (WWWQ HD-2 99X applied for 98.9 at 250watts)

Any idea why the change to Atlanta and how long before we see 99X @ 98.9?

I can only get 99X in the afternoons out here in Loganville when there is less interference from WDEN.

Another question. When Cumulus and Citidel combine how will the translators be counted. Do they count as a signal or as something else. In other words, will Cumulus have to divest themselves of any of these translators after the merger?
These are, for the most part, full market signals.....equal to a class A at 3000 watts in coverage. Seems like they would count but then......that would be using logic. What does logic have to do with anything these days?

The lawyers say that because translators are "secondary service" and subject to being bumped, they don't count against ownership caps. At all.

(Don't shoot the messenger!)
