Am I the only person who thinks the "caught in traffic" K92FM TV commercial is just a step above pathetic? It makes me want to look for another Country station to enjoy.

It is stupid. I've only seen it on Ch 9 which is their sister station so it's most likely a free spot. I sure hope viewers don't actually think it was taped on I-4.

You'd expect to see a commercial like this for a station with REM's "Everybody Hurts" on its playlist...

I have to agree with everyone here, I've spent 30 years in the radio broadcast business, and I've seen my share of crappy radio station TV ads, but by far, K92FM's is the worst of the worst let alone their morning show personality's rate right up there with the TV spot......Geez, couldn't K92FM have spent alittle more then a-buck-2-ninety eight on this spot......and filmed it in the stations parking lot.......!

Footnote to my last comment regarding K92FM's TV spot. I've worked for Cox Radio in the past, and Cox has aired some of the sharpest TV radio ad campaigns that promote their stations. However this is not the case with K92FM's Orlando TV spot, showing their morning show personality's stuck in traffic on (not I-4) jamming on the radio, like it's fun, and showing their traffic guy stuffing his pie-hole with Kentucky fried chicken, who appears to me, like, as you can see, misses very few meals, does nothing more then talk down to the Orlando viewers and K92FM country music radio listeners alike, making it seem like were all stupid. Maybe Len Sheckelford should reconsider, take a few steps back as a Cox Radio cooperate puppet, and come up with an add that's sharp and clever, and not make us all look like a bunch of stupid country hicks. K92FM's current TV spot is not sharp, it's not cleaver, and it's not funny and doe's very little, in my opinion, to promote K92FM.

Or perhaps it is targeted correctly ::)

I think it's pretty ridiculous that you can clearly see parking spaces and barriers in the background in the final scene, despite the fact that it's supposed to be I-4. Couldn't they find a cul de sac somewhere? Plus, I don't quite understand why everyone starts cheering at the end. VERY lame.

stormychuck, we all know you work for CBS and have a hard on for Cox because they pretty much kick your ass in the rating's. No one really cares what your opinion is, get back to working the board on 105.9...by the way, it's AD not ADD..I would be careful about burning bridges in this market as you will probably be let go in a few month's. Once they flipped 105.9 (please look up O-Rock) because you guys can't crack the top ten in any demo and will be calling Len once you are looking for work...

First, anytime i see Kabrich post, i love it. So when you called out the redneck
who couldn't spell, yelling at K for making Orlando look stupid. By highlighting all
his terrible spelling, you still missed 2, classic Randy, great Post

To Japman, you dont like the K92 commercial ( for all you "experts" it was SUPPOSED to
be stupid ) and now i see you dont like Doc's Rinaldi AC TV spot. So let me ask you,
on prime time TV it's DOC from K92 with 2 prime time TV spots running, and you....uh...???
How many?

I am the first to admit I am terrible at spelling, as my SATs demonstrated many years ago.

However, I do not think I have ever made THAT MANY MISTAKES in that few of words - nor have I EVER stated I was a decent jock.

Worse though, if I missed 2 mis-spellings - I probably thought those 2 were correct, LOL! :(
