Current talent at 97.1

It's a tough radio market out there. Look at Larry Elder it has been almost 4 months since he left promising to be back and still no sign of him. Even his website hasn't been updated in months. Out of sight out of mind I guess. I think most of the gang of 97.1 will disappear. I hope Leykis finds a place somewhere. I can't believe it collapsed so quickly, first Westwood one dropping him and then KLSX going down so soon thereafter. 97.1 was good while it lasted. I'm tired of the political screaming going on on practically every other station.

Larry Elder is working as a commentator for the Fox News Channel. He appeared earlier this week on Bill O'Reilly's show which is broadcasting from Los Angeles all this week.

If you are reading this before 11 PM PST Thursday night, go listen to KLSX. Most of the staff, current and past, is on with Conway as well as some others in the Los Angeles broadcast community (including Paul Magers from CBS 2). Just a few minutes into the show and it's already great.

Most of the airstaff will be sitting at home collecting paychecks from CBS, until they're contract is over. Some will be doing a podcast. John and Jeff will still be rocking the third shift, as they were syndicated by a company that was not CBS or Westwood One. Just not in LA.

Maybe Adam Carolla will turn up at some point on AM 1150, after all, he is "liberal" right? ::)

Carolla will probably go back to cable, or become Jimmy Kimmel's Ed McMahon.

FHF will wind up in some major markets morning show.

Leykis will lay low, work on a TV contract.

Conway will write for TV.

Bonaduce is already set, having hotten the "YSP Gig in Philly and thus dodging the bullet.

Sam Phillips will dissapear or wind up on reality TV.

John & Jeff will continue thier synidcated show for the handful of stations they still have (they already announced it)

And 6 month from now, someone at CBS will get a phone call from someone from Emmis after the Fall book, laughing hysterically and saying. "We tried to tell you dude.....but noooooooooooooo, we had to go ahead and do it anyway."

FM talk retuns by New Years.

The Fall Book? LA has been a PPM market for almost 8 months now.
