Current TV Shows That Should Have Been Cancelled Years Ago

"Two and Half men" is running on its last legs. The boy is almost grown. You can only see so many sleazy jokes and innuendos about Charlie's sex life. Last season had one good story line with their mother getting married to Robert Wagner's character and his character actually being a grifter.

Another show on life support is "Mythbusters". I love the format, but they are now begging for myths to be sent. It appears they are running out of ideas.

"Scubs" is another show that probably should finish up.

Agree with that. Hard to believe that it has been on for about 12 years now.

The only reason why FOX keeps that is that it completes the "Animation Domination" lineup on Sunday. They haven't come up with a fresh animated show to replace it. Even Futurama was better than King Of The Hill.

If I was going to choose a show that by most people's objective criteria should have been canceled years ago - it would have to be According to Jim. What's with that? Every new TV season, I figure it will be gone, but it rears its ugly head again.

Is it finally gone now?

"According to Jim" would be right at the top of my list! In my humble opinion, the series was stale in its first season. Last I heard, it was slated to return to ABC's schedule sometime in the middle of this 2008-09 season. The odd thing is the sitcom doesn't even jive with the rest of ABC's comedies. More recently they've been going the more sophisticated route ala NBC. "Jim" made sense when it was paired with "George Lopez," but when ABC canned that series a couple of years ago, "Jim" has been an awkward fit for the network.

Judge "whatever". All of those shows reek.

All except for Judge Mathis.

...and the original, The People's Court. Marilyn Milian is the only one of the lot who appears to be an actual, flesh-and-blood walkin' around Human Being. Of course, had this question popped up a year into Ed Koch's tenure on the same series, or at any time during Jerry Sheindlin's, I'd have contributed The People's Court to this thread myself...

...Judge Mathis I can do without very nicely. I have to admit I don't mind Judge Alex too badly (that show appears right after the Noon weekday news on the NBC affiliate here in Tucson), and Judge Judy is good for a few laughs in the same manner that Joe Pyne and Mort Downey used to be...

The Today Show.

It's all crap and fluff. It should have died a respectable death years ago instead of keeping it on life support.

If NBC won't cancel this monstrosity, at least replace Matt Liar (oops...Lauer) with J. Fred Muggs.

"Two and a Half Men is funny. There is still chemistry between Charlie Sheen and the kid who plays Jake. I just wish the show would feature more of "Berta"'; she is a riot with her one-liners.

I agree, Family Guy's Surfing Bird was hillarious. It's one of the funniest shows in TV History.

It looks like you got your wish, sort of. The good news is that Fox cancelled the show. The bad news is that they won't air their last episode until the 2009-2010 season. Go figure.
