Current TV To Broadcast Murdoch Appearance

L

Since the appearance before the UK Parliament by Rupert and James Murdoch doesn't come under the C-Span bailiwick, and I doubt that it will be on the usual news networks, and certainement NOT FNC, Americans would seemingly not be able to watch this event. FEAR NOT! Current TV has announced that it will broadcast the hearing with Keith Olbermann doing the anchoring chores. The starting time is 9:15 am EDST. I may have tea instead of coffee. Um, on second thought, I'll stick with coffee.

Didn't, at least in the past, C-Span carry highlights of British Parliament?

C-SPAN often carries live events from British Parliament whenever it doesn't conflict with the schedule of important events in Washington

Cheers :D

C-Span also provides two airings of the weekly "Prime Minister's Questions," where members of Parliament get to grill the Prime Minister. That may be the highlights program you have in mind.

A Rupert Murdoch live event on Current... wonder if it'll get the MST3K treatment? :-X

Which time? Is it EDT or EST? You can only pick one...

EDST means Eastern Daylight Saving Time. (Not to be confused with "Lucky Strike Means Fina tobacco".

I really thought that Current would have the hearing to itself inasmuch as it's happening in the home of Greenwich Mean Time (as long as we're talking about time zones) and there's certainly lots of stuff going on here in the US of A. But no...ALL of the news channels including FNC & even the bidness channels: CNBC and FBC are also carrying it. Here in n Boston, local NPR outlet WBUR carried the audio; Diane Rehm was on another NPR station, so I guess public radio stations around the country could choose paper or plastic.
