I grew up listening to Curt Gowdy and was fortunate enough to get to know him.

Being inducted into the Sports Broadcasting Hall of Fame is just the latest in a long line of well deserved honors for Curt. RIP

I grew up listening to him as well....for that time he was one of the premier voices of sports....His grave site is a small walk from where I live...a simple grave site...when he was first lowered into his final resting spot a baseball with a number of autographs was there...since gone...I hope it sits in a place of honor. Remember, as long as a person is in the thoughts of others they are never truly dead. ;)
