Curt Keilback out as Coyotes' TV Voice

In a move so idiotic, you'd think the Coyotes were owned by Bill Bidwill, the team decided not to renew Keilback's contract as their play-by-play man. He'd been with the team on either radio or TV for 27 seasons, going back to their days in Winnipeg. No replacement has been announced.

Analyst Darren Pang still has one year remaining on his contract so he hasn't been fired...yet.

What a bonehead move! Team figurehead President Doug Moss will get the blame for this, but the fact of the matter is that Wayne Gretzky calls all the shots for that organization. Keilback must have p*ssed him off for some reason.

Hey Wayne! You may be the greatest hockey player of all time, but you're proving time and time again, just like your NBA counterpart Michael Jordan, you don't have the first clue about running a franchise. Keilback wasn't on the ice, nor is he the Head Coach. He did not cause the team to stink the last few seasons. You did. Get a clue and rehire the only remaining asset your sorry -a** team has.

It's disheartening when some hold back on their posts.
But I agree.
Kielback has pipes meant for hockey. NHL hockey at that.
And he knows his craft.

I understand that Wayne has to clean house, to at the least, be a contender for the Cup.
To release Mr. Kielback from his duties would be like Robert Sarver telling Al McCoy that his services as p-b-p announcer is no longer needed by the Suns.
"We're going in a new direction".

27 seasons?
Wow.
Gonna miss him
