Curtains For Main-FM?

I read somewhere that 96.5 wants to move to 105.1 and increase power. Full powers take precedence over LP's.

Update: MAIN-FM, which signed off last fall at 103.5 FM, is planning to relaunch at 105.3 FM next month:

Wonder if the folks at WNOW will have anything to say about this...
Why would they allow 2 stations so close together, with one broadcasting from a Gaston Co. tower and the other from Asheville? I currently receive 105.3 WNOW with rabbit ears hear in Greenville, SC, including the HD version. But not really a station I listen to.

I don't know why I said 96.5 ??? Monday brain fart I guess
You might have heard about 96.7 in Greenville, SC, which is part of this...it would in turn move to 104.9 FM here if WQNS 104.9 moved to 105.1.

I was hoping that's what you meant. So will WQNS stay on Chambers Mountain? There seems to be a lot of equipment up there and maybe they could benefit from having some of that taken off.

What about WCCP 104.9 in Clemson?

The last time I went to Greenville, SC (been awhile), they have a College or University Station on 97.3 MHz. Being a listener of WKBC-FM, I listened to it non-stop from Charlotte, NC all the way to the outskirts of Greenville. Since my Destination was actually Anderson, SC, I was amazed to find that WKBC FM ''came back'' once I left Greenville behind on my way to Anderson. I had an after-market Sony Tuner for my Car that had 8dbi Sensitivity, and I couldn't believe I was hearing 97.3 WKBC again!

In addition to that, I would like to point out that currently Charlotte, NC has some Low Power Religious Station on 88.3 MHz. I wish it would just shut down already. In my part of Charlotte, the Boiling Springs (NC) Station on 88.3 is much more interesting and often over-powers it. They once played a Long-Lost Hit called ''Walking on a Thin Line'' From Huey Lewis. I haven't heard that song on Terrestrial Radio in a long, long time. Refreshing.. Steve...

They're ba-ack!

I didn't read the article since the Citizen-Times charges you to read if you go over the limit.

You can view up to 30 articles before they charge you. That said, I think it is ridiculous that newspapers, the Charlotte Observer included, are doing this (charging to view articles).

I read it. But I've always been told ten, so I read as many as possible at home, and at each library.

The first time I visited the site it did not say anything. From a second computer, I visited the site and the countdown started and it said I could view the next 30 articles before I had to sign up for a subscription. Steve.
