Curtis > CC

Heard Curtis just made a ridiculous low ball offer for all CC stations in the Triad. They will have to spin a few long term. Apparently CC is doing so bad they are taking the offer. Holy cow Batman! No wonder CC has been acting like they are,... in the Triad especially. No ops man or Chief to worry about. All makes sense. This will be something to keep an eye on.

This is hard to believe. Too many big powerhouse stations to be acquired for a low ball figure. Doesn't sound probable. Sorry. If it is true, it will be the acquisition of the century.

I could see CC selling WMKS or WVBZ, maybe, but not WMAG and WTQR. Those stations have two of the best signals in the market, along with WVBZ. I must admit, though, you've got me thinking about the possibilities. I also wonder why CC would divest themselves of their Triad stations when they have Raleigh and Charlotte. It gives them blanket coverage in North Carolina. Another reason this rumor makes no sense to me.
