Cut 19 Will Never Air Again

Cut 19 will never air again on WFAN...unless Chris Russo returns to 660AM WFAN. What is "Cut 19"? It's the opening jingle for Mike & The Mad Dog for years at WFAN. Jerry Seinfeld can sing the song!

I have been listening to NYC radio for over 35 years and you would have to put Cut 19 in the NYC RADIO HALL OF FAME. One of the "Top 10 Jingles" ever to be heard on a NYC radio station. No question!

Jon Wolfert, of JAM Creative Productions in Dallas, should be proud of the masterpiece he created. Great job Jon. You can hear the jingle if you go to www.jingles.com . It's part of the "NEW YORK FAN" package.

Just asking....need help from the crowd....what other stations in USA air that great package?

I can't figure out where the jingle is on the website...it's hard to find.......?

WFAN still uses many cuts from that package. Not sure what year it came out, but one of the jingles mentions Bill Mazur.

The "New York Fan" package was first used by WFAN in 1990. It may just be the longest-running jingle package ever used by a New York radio station.

The station has used only four jingle packages since their 1987 launch. The other three are:

"Sports Radio" -- JAM, 1987-88
"title unknown" -- Century 21, 1988-90 (post-frequency switch)
"Domination" -- TM Productions, 2004-present; alternates with "New York Fan"
