Cut back on Boortz?

I'm a bit slow in keeping up with SB's changes. Discovered the other early AM Andy Dean replacing the "Re-Boortz" from 1 - 4 AM. Boortz repeats 4:00-5:00.

When?

How?

Why?

Has he run out of steam?

Or can Cox sell time better with something new?
 
Bortz is tired and old. I can't tolerate his jibberish for any longer than it takes to re-affirm why it is that I don't listen to his show.
 
I listen to Boortz all the time. I need that replay in the wee hours because I am unsure if he thinks President Obama is really a Kenyan-Marxists out to ruin our country. He always holds back his true feelings. The replay may clear it up for me. Now I will never know for sure.
 
Is there any relationship between all this and the fact that Boortz did not have a column in the AJC op ed on Saturday? Ded he just miss one, or is that series now toast?
 
Boortz hasn't had a Saturday AJC column for several weeks now. I think he's toast. AJC was stupid to begin with since all Boortz was doing was recycling his typical radio rants. It probably took a producer (or intern) 5 minutes to type the things up and send them in.
 
There's probably going to be a big void in local radio soon. Boortz has been hinting at retiring for a long while, and he increasingly sounds like he's mailing it in, with the show becoming more repetitive and predictable.

How is Boortz doing during his live shift, numbers-wise? The WGST morning drive show is terrible and Beck probably pulls a different audience than Boortz. But IMO someone could give Boortz a run for his money with the right local talent...like WGST did with Sean Hannity back in the 90s.

Martha Zoller would be an obvious choice for Cox to bring up to the majors from minor league 103.7, but sooner or later she's going to have to officially declare her candidacy for Congress and go off the air. And if she gets elected she'll be on permanent vacation.

I wonder if Cox would dare bring back the Kimmer...?
 
Ho boy! In the middle of the night I tuned over and listened to Andy Dean for a few minutes.

Then this morning I went back and re-read the Rodney Ho link from two or three messages back.

Then I found Andy's self authored biographical info on the WSB web site.


Andy believes that there are 3 types of people who will hate his radio program: 1) Islamic radicals; 2) The leadership of Public Sector Unions; 3) Hypocrites.

Andy believes that there are 3 types of people who will like his radio program: 1) Hard working taxpayers; 2) People who remember September 11, 2001 like it was yesterday; 3) People who believe in good versus evil.

I can remember when I was young and thought the world was as two dimensional as it now appears to Andy.

I'm not an Islamic radical. I'm not even a member of a Public Sector Union, much less in leadership. So in Andy's myopic, two dimension world that leaves me standing out here with my fellow hypocrites.

Here's the problem Andy needs to wrestle with: I was a hard working taxpayer for 60 years. I vividly remember sitting in my vehicle where I had just rolled into the parking lot as they announced an airplane had struck one of the towers and when I walked into the cubicle farm, I was the first to announce to my fellow workers the event. And having been ordained to church office for over 50 years, I think I qualify as someone who deals with good versus evil. But I still don't like Andy's show.
 
Based on his credo, it sounds like Andy Dean is trying to compete with John Batchelor!
