Wally Nelskog, undeniably one of the pioneers in our market, passed away this evening.
His "K-I------XI" imaging was a staple for many of the radios in this market for many years.
He also fought endlessly to find a way to get that station to 50kw...finally succeeding by moving it to 880 and licensing it to "Mercer Island", which had no radio station of its own.
Most significantly of all, he was adored by his staff -- hard to picture that anymore.
