CW 12.2 now in Widescreen HD

Good news. WJTV 12.2 is now 720p HD. Looks good. WJTV 12.1 is still 1080i. No noticible drop in quality except for Antenna TV on 12.3, which looks more pixelated than it was before 12.2 flipped. It's obvious that they took bandwith away from 12.3 in order to squeeze CW into the channel in HD. If only WUFX (or is it WLOO) would convert to HD. Its the last full power station (except for 34) not to go HD.

This is great news. Unfortunately, I am getting drop offs of the WJTV signal with a midsize traditional VHF/UHF antenna in the attic (no booster) just off Old Fannin Road just north of Flowood (21 miles from the tower as the crow flies). I am waiting for the correct UBolt kit to allow me to mount that antenna outside, which I hope will allow me to fully lock in WJTV.

I have Dish Network, so I have been having to use PlayOn with Roku to record and playback CBS shows with CC (wife has some hearing difficulties). It would be nice to have both CBS and HD CW OTA especially, but time will tell. I suspect that the dispute between Media General and Dish Network will continue for weeks to come...
