CW NETWORK NOT ON PALM SPRINGS CABLE

A new over the air low power Ch.2 has signed on in Palm Springs, KCWQ a CW affilate. It is owned by KESQ the local ABC outlet. Time Warner cable refuses to carry it. KESQ wants it on cable ch.5, the former slot for a straight WB feed, now blank. Outside of it's local newscasts, KTLA is not carried out here. KESQ is urging viewers to dig out he old rabbit ears and watch CW over the air on CH.2. The cable ch.2, KPSP (CBS) low power ch.38 is none too happy with a "real" ch.2 on the air either.

It's strange Time Warner Cable refuses to carry it, since they are reducing exposure for a network, their parent company has an ownership stake in. [One hand doesn't know what the other hand is doing]. With UPN, it was a different situation. My guess is TW Cable wants to carry but offer it to digital cable subscribers only.
