CW7 ARIZONA TO LAUNCH "12NEWS ON CW7 AT 9" SEVEN NIGHTS A WEEK BEGINNING AUGUST 15TH
New primetime newscast will expand access to local news and information for viewers across the Phoenix Television Market
PHOENIX- KAZT-TV (CW7 Arizona) today announced the launch of "12News on CW7 Arizona at 9," a new primetime local newscast airing seven nights a week beginning August 15.
The hour-long newscast will air Monday through Friday from 9 to 10 p.m., with a 30-minute edition airing Saturdays and Sundays from 9 to 9:30 p.m. Produced by 12News, the newscast will deliver comprehensive coverage of the day's top stories, breaking news, weather and sports to viewers across Arizona.
The launch represents a significant expansion of local programming on CW7 Arizona and provides Phoenix-area viewers with a new option for trusted local news at 9 p.m. It also reflects the station's ongoing commitment to localism and to delivering programming that informs, entertains and celebrates the communities it serves.

"12News on CW7 Arizona at 9" will complement the station's growing lineup of local programming, including "The Daily Mix," the popular lifestyle show hosted by Brad Perry and Teresa Strasser, as well as additional locally produced daytime programs scheduled to launch soon.
Further demonstrating its commitment to local programming, CW7 Arizona is pleased to bring back the 'Fiesta Bowl High School Showdown, an 11-week series featuring compelling high school football matchups from across the Valley. The series will spotlight talented student-athletes, their schools and the communities that support them while celebrating the tradition and excitement of Arizona high school football.
CW7 Arizona (KAZT-TV) Arizona also delivers The CW Network's expanding lineup of premium entertainment and live sports. The network's sports portfolio includes the NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series, WWE NXT, ACC, Pac-12 and Mountain West college football and men's and women's basketball, AVP beach volleyball, PBR Team Series events & Professional Bowlers Association competition. The CW will also broadcast the 2026 Arizona Bowl, providing Arizona sports fans with another marquee event on free, over-the-air television. The CW's premium national programming also includes the Miss USA & Miss Teen USA competitions.
