Cyber Line Celebrates 15 Years!

2 December 1995: A flip of a switch at the Dallas Christian Business Expo starts the first broadcast of "Computer World" on KSKY-AM 660.

The next week it broadcasts from the studio for the first time as Mick Williams' Cyber Line!

From KSKY, WBAP, KYNG and now on IRN/USA we have had 5 years on local and 10 Syndicated!

With stations from North Carolina to Guam, its been a great ride!

Listen up for we will be doing alot of cool stuff over 2011 to celebrate!

And thanks to all who gave at the office.

In other words, do you pay KSKY to air it?

I can answer that...NO. He does not have any time-lease arrangements with anyone. Listen sometime. It's not just a techie show; it's pop culture and a lot more. Happy 15th to ya, Mick!

Nope we are the usual Syndicated show. Good ol barter.

Wow I didn't think I'd raise so much dander.

Let's see... We are still based here in Dallas. There many other shows that have come and gone since we started (Internet Tonight) many that were "infomercials" (That one on KLIF that was sponsored by Computer Junction) the one that replaced us on WBAP (Tech n Touch. So bad it was replaced by his wife's own show!) and others as well.

And of course, that Live Tripple cast that was syndicated. (Long gone by the way .)

And Al Brumley had great remarks on the two of us as well. We've also been giving that digital chick a run for her money also!

I've been blessed to do this for 15 years and within the same market. I've been privledged to do shows from Comdex 2000, the Anime Fest, the Christian Business Expo and other places here as well.

We've been to Houston for a remote for KSEV-AM and got to meet the members of the biggest computer user group in the country HAL-PC. But the best was from the Alan Freed studios at the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame for WERE-AM in Cleveland.

I met and interviewed Alan Freed's daughter-in-law. I also got to meet and interview my childhood heroes "Big Chuck" Swodowski (Big Chuck and Hoolihan (later Little John) and The Ghoul! And we hung out with computer users and listeners of Cleveland!

And as to those who all gave at the Office? There are many here that have given us advice and helped us along the way (They know who they are. Many are here on this board) some who have been in the business of syndication and some who are no longer with us as well.

And not only did we have this one show for so long, we even created a few more as well!

And Tony, we started on KSKY when it was still a Christian format. We haven't been on since we left in June 1997 and moved to WBAP and beyond.
