Jim Rome was first on WTEM, starting around 2000 or so, from 1p to 3p. (The noon hour of Rome, obviously offset by Tony Kornheiser - who originated his radio show on WTEM in 1995 - was played on tape at 9p.) And Bruno was on only in the 9am hour, buffeted by both "Mike and Mike" and Kornheiser.
In 2003, WWRC/1260 flipped to an all-FSR sister station to WTEM - but was foolishly imaged as "SportsTalk 1260," as WTEM was/is "SportsTalk 980". PMD programming was simulcast on both stations. Rome and Czaben national show - he's one of WTEM's PMD hosts, ergo the simulcast - moved to 1260.
Last year, WWRC went with lib talk, but WTEM has kept their ESPN programming since... until now. Even though WKNR/Cleveland could give them a run for their money, WTEM is one of the worst sports stations in the country, programming-wise.
